A weekend of reuniting...

WOW What a weekend! We were reunited with many old friends! First, I became reacryquainted with John's roommate in CA, Tim Landberg, via Facebook. I recently saw that he was coming to visit Chicago, so I reached out to him and suggested that we get together. Scheduling was tough, but finally we walked over and met him, his wife Stacey and their 6 month year old son Bryden. We lost contact with Tim about 10 years ago. It was such a blast to see him again! And his wife is absolutely wonderful! It was so great to hang out with them! Very surreal :) We hope to see them in their future visits.

"Hi Bryden" Jack, very friendly as usual

Jack got a compliment: He always tries to sneak on the train that's in the zoo :) When I went and got him, he didn't make a fuss at all. The other mom we were with commented on how she couldn't believe it because her daughter would have had a fit. Yeay Jack!
Hmmmm Jack was very skeptical about the whole carousal experience....

Jen Noonan (Deno) was in town with her husband Patrick and her son Liam. Liam is exactly Jack's age. In fact he was due on Jack's birthday! They were staying at Patrick's second cousin's condo in the Handcock building on the 88th floor. Amazing views! The next day we met them at the park. The last time Jen was in town Liam wasn't walking yet, so this time it was fun to see them able to run around and finally get to "play" together! He is super cute and a good little boy :) ANOTHER reunion was meeting up with my friend Evan at the park who I haven't seen in about 6 years! He is now married and has a 6 month year old daughter named Audrey. His wife Emily is wonderful and I hope to get together with them often! They both live in the city as well. It is also a fabulous weather day in the city, so it was a perfect day for the park!

A story...

After nap Jack and I went for a walk. Usually we walk to the commissary or the park. This time we were just coming back from Potash (the grocery store) and when we got back he asked if we could go for a walk.   1) he's been cracking me up because he likes to put his hands in his pockets. However, when he doesn't have pockets, he now puts his two hands on his back. 2) he insisted we walk to the commissary. Mr. Big Time walked right in like he owned the place! He walked up to the two people behind the counter to say hi. When the guy behind the counter asked him to high-five Jack asked him to fist-bump! It was hysterical! As we walked away I heard the girl say "see, that makes me actually like kids"! John said that Jack is going to aid in the over population in Earth because everyone who meets him wants one too :)
