Happy First Birthday!

Are we having fun yet?

Loving all the picture taking :)

Everybody had a great time! Poor Jack was sick all week and still didn't feel good for his birthday. He wasn't himself. Poor guy.

But what a loved baby! So many friends and family came to celebrate our little Prince turning ONE! Wow! So hard to believe that we have a toddler now!

First Hair Cut!

So handsome!

Jack did pretty good. He was a little quiet about the whole thing. (also, not feeling well).Very curious, especially while she was trimming the back. He kept wanting to turn around to see what she was doing-especially when he was getting shaved :)

October 1st

Jack stood up from a sitting position! We were at the playground, and of course he was busy picking up sticks and leaves :) He would squat down, pick up his desired treasure, and then get back up! He was very proud of his "squatting". I guess he felt confident and then took the leap to going from the sitting position to standing! Yeay! "So Big" now!

1 Year appointment...

Lots of shots! Jack was a trooper, especially since it was during his usual bedtime :( However, he has been a little cranky for a while. And getting up during the night. Neither is typical. Is he still sick? Teething? Growing? Feeling delayed effects of the shots? Or just being a "toddler"!??!

10/7

Ok, he's fine! He is totally back to himself! He had lost some weight around his birthday because he was sick. He is back to eating and having chunky cheecks :)

He is making new "talking" sounds. He is back to being super happy and cute! Dad got to spend 2 full days at home with Jack having boys time while mom had to go to conferences

11 months

Look at my precious 2 front teeth! So much has happened and I have gotten so far behind on my posts! (back to work again....) 11 months was a big one! By the end of the month he was walking. He still looks like an Orangatan, but he is all over the place!

Septemeber 9th was the first time he took off on his own and walked across the whole condo! I was waiting for my friend Fatima to come over and while I was in the bathroom (he was hanging out with me and holding onto the door) when all of a sudden he took off and walked all the way to the kitchen by himself! He was so proud he kept doing it until bedtime! SO cute! The next day I took him to the park and it was the first time going where he could actually walk around the park on his own. I just watched in awe. I couldn't believe how fast that was. All of a sudden one day I have a toddler. Wow, he is growing up! I still consider him a baby! Guess mom has to let go sometime :)

Also, by the end of the month another tooth is starting to come through his upper front-left.

Everyday John and I are fasciniated with him. We fall more and more in love with him everyday. Once of John's favorites is watching him eat waffles in the living room while I get ready for work in the morning. He says it melts his heart. He even talks about it with the guys at work! He's such a proud daddy!

It's so fun watching him discover new things. Like showing him how a zipper works and then watching him figure out and do it on his own. Or pointing the remote at the TV. Or finally dancing to musiv
