Last day of our summer break...

First, a round of golf...
Right now it's Jack's new favorite sport. It was soccer, which he still likes. But he has also taken to golf. He's actually pretty good!

Then, racing up and down the hill in Lincoln Park.
Jack sporting his new pretend sad face.

" I win mommy, right?"
Last, the beach, of course! Such a super hot day, and the water felt sooooo good!
You know Jack's a "bo boy" (big boy) when he can build a sandcastle and not knock it down! ("mommy, I no kick it. I not cying" " Water not get it, right?!" )

Despite his expression, Jack and mommy had a great time! :)
Photo shoot..attempting to recreate the famous picture of John at 3 years old...

Air and Water Show! My favorite!

This year Jack was so much more into it. Last year he didn't like the noise. This year he was front and center and loved every minute of it!
Buster Beans: friends to all!
The other boy is 3 and his name is Jack! They were instant friends and did a great job sharing their toys :)

Using the "sunglasses" to watch the planes...

typical toddler short attention span:
"Where is poi-poi (rolly pollies) ? Oh der it is!"

Round 2....watching the air show from Grandpa and Trish's house...from the 49th floor!

Of course Jack was more interested in seeing the cars and trucks from up high :)

Tina's visit!

Tina is so natural around Jack, and he adores her! (of course, so do I :)

Beach day with Nonny and Papa!

Planes above practicing for the Air and Water Show

Papa: Jack, it's lunch time
Jack: It's not lunch time;  it's WATER time! (refusing to get out of the water. You know Jack's having fun when he is too busy to eat!! :)

Family Day- Inaugural Chicago Hot Dog Fest at the Chicago History Museum

Zooma Half Marathon-August 10, 2013

I haven't done a race since 2008, but I figured a girlie race with jewelry and champagne would do the trick! The funny thing is that  I signed up in order to motivate me to run more/with Maggie. Ironically I ended up only running 5 times by myself before the race. But Maggie and I had a blast! We stayed after in the wine tent spending kid free hours with free champagne and lunch :) Luckily it was also prefect running weather!

Another Super Why adventure!

Old Orchard Mall- with the Owens family
Jack was thrilled! Of course there were plenty of kids screaming and crying that they wanted to go home...But not Jack!

waiting in line...
