First Street Fest of the summer!

Joined Daddy at Belmont-Sheffield street fest to see Liquid Soul. Jack's favorite part was taking "my choo-choo" there and back! First, we went walking around Armitage/Halsted with "Aunt" Erin. Of course, she treated us to "BIG ice-ceam" so she won Jack over :) Then we took the EL to meet Daddy at the festival. Every time an EL train passed by Jack was "cry" and say "on-no, MY choo-choo"! He was "sad" every time a choo-choo passed by because he thought it was his and it was leaving him :) The band was awesome and Jack looooved dancing! The band played early, so we were still home by bedtime! He is at such a fun and easy age right now. I finally feel comfortable taking him to things like that because he doesn't need as much "stuff" and he is able to hang out longer. We all had a blast! Can't wait for more summer fun!

"My Beach"

Fun in the Sun

I was in a wedding last night. Jack must have been "mad" at me for leaving him for a night. When I got home this morning he wouldn't hug me, or look at me, or talk to me! Eventually I bribed him with the beach and" ice-ceam" and everything was fine...we're buddies again :)

on our walk back he demanded I take a movie of him doing "punch punch kick (pish)" :) That's what he calls what John and I do (Krav Maga)

It's getting WARMER!

Finally, back to the days where we go to the beach after school! Jack LOVES it! It's literally the last thing he says at night, and first thing in the morning. As we get him in bed, or out of bed he says, "Mommy, beach"? Or "Daddy, beach?"

A new tradition is stopping by my FAVORITE frozen yogurt shop "Yogurtland". It's great because they give you little cups so you can sample the flavors first. So I just fill those up and give them to Jack and he thinks HE got the ice cream! It's perfect, he loves it and it's only the size of a sample so he doesn't get a sugar high!

This is Jack's version of  "sitting" and watching the cars and "peoples" while  enjoying his ice cream :)
