Wow, Two and 1/2 years old!

I don't even know where to begin! Every day he grows more and more! Not only in height (which he is now officially in 3T clothes! All of a sudden his 2T pants became "floods" :) Most of his shoes are a size 8-9 and sometimes he can fit into a size 10! But also in his development. His talking has really come a long way.

He totally knows his alphabet! It's crazy. People are always amazed when he "reads" for them. He can "read" every letter in a book! He also knows what letter words start with. ex. D is for Daddy, duck, doggie and Dude (Adam :) B is for Bub and Bulldozer, M is for mommy and Mimi, N is for Nonny (and Nolan from school), P is for Papa, J is for Jack, S is for Sean (and Sabina), K is for Ke-Ke (Kaylee) A is for apple, T is for train...

He can identify his colors. It isn't 100% consistent, but most of the time he can. He will usually do it on his own, but sometimes second guesses himself if I ask him/put him on the spot in front of people. But on his own he will say, for example,  "look mommy, a "ellow" car".

He amazes me with what sentences he will come up with. It is awesome to see his thoughts come together. The other day we were in Lake Shore Drive coming home. It is staying light out later now. For most of the winter when he would ask to go for a walk when we got home I would say "sorry Jack, it's night time, everyone's sleeping" The other day he asked and I said, sorry Jack it's late. And he said, "no mommy, it's Sunny. It's day"! Ha! He got me! But I was so impressed that he put all of that together! He is still pretty hung up on some things so his answers are often predictable  For instance, when you ask him what he did, anywhere, (Nonny and Papa's, Sabina's...) he will answer "eat" and "pay with cucks" :) In fact, when we went back to Sabina's after break she asked him what he did over Spring Break and he said "eat". She was cracking up! Eating is a big priority for Jack :) But lately he will actually answer with more detail, which is so fun!  He also called John- John the other day! I guess when I was gone and John was watching him he said " hey John" which is what I say! I try to say Daddy most of the time, but so funny what he picks up on!

I really feel like I am getting so much closer to him now that we can have a conversation. SO fun! He is so wonderful! I feel so blessed! And not to brag :) but everyone we see comments on him. People that we pass on our walks stop and smile at him. Most respond with "wow, he's so cute" AND smiley AND happy AND polite! He randomly gives hugs, he always says "Tank you mommy/daddy" and "Ease" when he wants/gets something. The other day I was changing him and out of the blue he said" mommy funny" and then " mommy es petty" (pretty)! Can't get better than that! :)

He still loves "meal meal" Oatmeal. Or he will ask for fruit, eggs, cheese, or cupcakes when you ask him what he wants. Yes, cupcakes! I think because that's what they have at Sabina's if it is someones birthday. He LOVES "ba-ba ball" (basketball). So the Easter Bunny got him a basketball net for the door. He is obsessed!

He still loves brushing his teeth. He is doing VERY well with the potty! I was going to officially potty train him this Spring Break, but there just wasn't enough time. I figured summer break is only 2 months away, it can wait. I think it will be fast. He just isn't consistent with telling me when he has to go. But he loves going on the potty!

Sometimes it's sad when he starts to say the words correctly :) "meal meal" is becoming Oatmeal. "wa-wa" is now water. "miiiil" is now milk.

But here are some favorite moments:
