WOW! He has come so far! He now knows all of his alphabet (although sometimes he confuses S and C, or L and I...depending on the font). He can count to 10 AND count/add up to 3 consistently. Sometimes more. He finally knows all of his (basic) colors and shapes (square, circle, triangle, star, moon) but doesn't always pronounce them right :) He puts together some very thoughtful independent ideas into a chopped up sentence. He is constantly surprising me with what he knows! I guess it's hard for me to accept that he is not a baby anymore :)
He is potty training, and it going very well! He is finally telling me when he has to go! We do have maybe one accident a day. When this happens he will have an accident but then tell me he has to go potty. He wears underwear all day, except while sleeping. Not sure when that stops. He is VERY proud of his underwear! The ones with the Superman logo he calls "cheese" ...I guess because it is a yellow triangle? :)
Right now my favorite mispronunciation he does is that he calls a police car a "weese car"! I don't know why, but I love when he says it! John's new one is the way he says moon. The "oo" sound is very emphasized.
Shows he is obsessed with are the Mater Tall Tales and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Mater is the tow truck from Cars. In the episode Air Mater, Mater learns to fly. Jack calls that one "fly away Mater" and the one that is in black and white he calls "mater at night". Which I also love the way he says Lightning McQueen..." Gang-geen". Sounds like Gangrene :) He calls Mickey Mouse "Mimi Mouse".
He finally likes to go to the daycare at the gym. Which is great because I love the kickboxing class. He calls both my kickboxing, and John and my Krav Maga class, "punch punch kick" (of course he has moves to go with this ;) Sometimes he'll wake up in the morning and ask if we are going to "punch punch kick".
For Father's Day Jack shouted "Happy Birthday Daddy" when he walked into the room! I think it was because for John's birthday I bought cupcakes "upcakes" . Then I bought him another one on Father's Day. Now whenever we walk to Jewel he asks if it's for Daddy's "bird-day" :) We also had a discussion about how it's almost Jack's birthday. But we had to keep clarifying that today it's not his birthday. So he will tell people it's "not my bird-day" when they ask how old he is :)
I am loving my time with him! We go to "my beach" and put on his swimming "soup" almost every day. I can't wait to take "my choo-choo" and "my bus" for more adventures!
