Pre-Halloween Family Day and related activities...

Sunday Family Day
Since Jack is a little young we had him paint his pumpkin. In addition, we later realized that the "pumpkin" we bought must be some sort of gourd because neither of us could cut through it  ;-)

Yummm Carmel Apples!
"more"

2 days later...

Decorating Cookies :)
Jack had a good time with this! Sugar is a very special and rare treat so eating cookies at home was super fun! He definitely wanted "mo" :)

Halloween time! Pumpkins, round 3!

This is our usual place to get our trees and pumpkins. It's on Wells St, just south of North Ave. As we walked there, we reflected on how much changes in a year, especially now that kids are involved! Jack is so different this Halloween than he was a year ago, let alone the year before that!

Unfortunately both Jack and Mama are super sick for Family Day, but we were all troopers and at least made it out for a pumpkin! Poor Daddy ;-)  But he is doing such a great job taking care of Mama! :)

A Day at Nonny's and Papa's

Funny stories from the day:

1) Apparently Papa's are for playing sports and Nonny's are for changing diapers and playing inside. When we were inside Jack was coloring and playing cars nice with Nonny. But when we were outside playing with the sports equipment and Nonny wanted to play catch, Jack insisted that  was Papa's job :) (Although at one point that meant that Papa fetches the ball no matter where it goes while Jack stands there and points to it demanding Papa to go get it. ) The funniest was when we were all at the table eating lunch and Nonny left for a moment. Jack went #2 and announced "Nonny it's poo"! That is what he says when he wants that person to change him! Ha! He wanted Nonny to do it, even though she wasn't in the room! :)

2) Jack only really has sweets when it is a special occasion like someone's birthday. Especially at daycare. Kids bring in treats and sing Happy Birthday.  So when my mom brought out some doughnuts for all of us to split, Jack saw her cutting them and started singing Happy Birthday!!! We were cracking up!
