Second Birthday! 9/26/12

We both played "hooky" for Jack's birthday :) 

First we went to Molly's Cupcakes for a very special birthday treat! It is pretty famous in Chicago and for a good reason! We got a chocolate cupcake filled with peanut butter with Butterfinger sprinkles, a Cookie Monster cupcake that was filled with cookie dough and topped with chocolate chips! I got a little chocolate one called "the Jack" for Jack :) They were amazing! 

Then we opened one gift for Mimi. TRUCKS! So we took them to the park after nap! Jack looooves playing with construction trucks in the sand! 

John celebrated MY "birth"day by getting me flowers, chocolates, dressing in a suit and opening a nice bottle of wine! I think I deserved it :) He is SO good to Mama!

Before dinner we had Jack open the "big" present from Mama and Daddy. Daddy picked it out and did such a good job! It's a perfect table and chairs for Jack! He loves it! So we all ate our Mac and Cheese (Jack's favorite meal!) with him and we had cupcakes and sang happy birthday. It was a perfect birthday!

He couldn't decide which ones to bring so he brought two!
Then he didn't want me to help carry them :)

Such a lucky boy! These are just the gift that we SENT in the mail!
The Rudzinskis family, Nikki, and Kathi were very generous!

Yes, mom used old Christmas wrapping paper.
I am sure I will hear about that one some day!

 The greatest thing about a 2 year old:

This box has been sitting in the wide open for weeks. He has even talked about it, yet he was still super excited when he opened it! And he didn't even care that it was in wrinkled, torn, Christmas wrapping paper!

After his sugar high, he kept taking the chairs out, and putting them back in again!
He called one "Jack's" and one "Daddy's" 

Mommy's flowers and special wine :)

Jack loved his Super Why hats that Mama made.
He kept wearing them around the house and singing Happy Birthday!
