"Cheese!"
The Music Man at the Green City Farmer's Market
Digger Digger Digger! Jack steals other kids' trucks in the sandbox :) Actually, everyone is really great at sharing in our neighborhood.
"3, 7, 8, Bump!" Jack finally learned how to jump with 2 feet off the ground! He loooves it! ;-)
Taking a load off on our walk. Super tough poses.
Daddy stayed home with Jack Sept 13th because I had to stay late for Curriculum Night (Back to School).
They had a total "boys" day! Baseball, golf, running in the park :)
Jack can drink for a cup without a straw and not spill! (well, most of the time :)
Now our walks include "zooming" a car.
My friend Eleanor doesn't work at my school anymore so Jack doesn't see Naomi at daycare. But we have still been good about play dates! They love each other! We had lunch in their neighborhood and then went to a park in Roscoe Village.
The park had a water fountain so..... :)
The play date got a little PG13!
Driving around the "Gov".
We went to Brian Earl's 30th birthday. John was not happy about me taking "evidence" of Jack riding a pink "hog" :)
Uncle Bruce and Jack doing wheelies!
Uncle Bruce and Aunt Gigi
Nice Hog! How many miles to the gallon do you get on that thing?
Chipotle Fest: Cultivate
This was an awesome festival right by our house! It had amazing beer from local micro-breweries and chefs from the Food Network using organic/sustainable ingredients. They had activities for kids, and great music! We only got there at the end, but now that we know how great it is, we plan on making a bigger deal of it next year. AND Jack loooved it! More over, he was a huge hit! We met up with some friends, and their friends just fell in love with Jack! I think we even got a free baby-sitter out of it! ;-) He was running around, dancing, saying hit to everyone...just being such a cute silly goose! Everyone who passed by smiled/made a comment on how cute he is :) I have been reluctant to take him to festivals, but now that I know how much he liked it, I want to go to more! This one in particular was not crowded. It was nice. And it ended at 7 so it was perfect because we were home by bedtime! It was totally a last minute decision ( I hadn't heard of it until my friend asked me to join her) but we are definitely going to plan on it next time now that we know about it. That is just another why I LOVE living here! I love that when he wakes up from a nap I can decide to walk over to a festival for food, beer, music and fun!
Ok, not sure where this came from, but he kept stopping and doing this karate type pose and saying something tough! It was SO funny! He had never done it before! And he kept doing it!
Jack's new favorite place. Especially to read...
Jack is SO good at putting on (and off) his shoes now! And it makes him SO proud! He can also pull up his pants!
After school bike rides...
Hmmm....??!?!
We finally took a family outing out to dinner! We went to Lou Malnatis down the street for football and pizza! Jack did very well! :)
Such a cutie :)
He doesn't wear them long, but his sunglasses crack us up!
Here he is copying me, my glasses were on top of my head :)
The "Gov" making calls from the car...
Hmmm, what color works best....
Got it...
My friend Robin got free 13th row Prince tickets at the United Center!
An incredible once-in-a-lifetime experience!
It was AMAZING!!!!!
(I played hookie the next day, which coincidentally, was Jack's birthday so I didn't feel guilty :) Plus, it's technically my "birth" day too! I did a lot of hard work that day, I should celebrate too!
Oh, and we were also standing right by Jokim Noah!!!!
(hard to get a good shot, the security was all over. But here is a great butt shot!? :)
He went on for 3 encores! The James Brown band (The JB Horns) were there, it was SO good!
We were right next to the band!!!
